This Strawberry Tiramisu replaces the customary coffee and cocoa with fresh strawberries, offering a vibrant twist on the traditional Italian dessert.

Ingredients
 
 

  • 500 g fresh strawberries hulled and sliced
  • 200 g savoiardi (ladyfinger biscuits)
  • 250 g mascarpone cheese
  • 200 ml heavy cream
  • 100 g powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 100 ml freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • fresh mint leaves for garnish

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl, combine the sliced strawberries with 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar and the lemon juice. Mix gently and let sit for 10 minutes to macerate.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the mascarpone cheese, 70g powdered sugar, and vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
  • Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until well combined and smooth.
  • Dip each savoiardi biscuit briefly into the orange juice, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy.
  • Arrange a layer of the soaked savoiardi in the bottom of a serving dish (or individual glasses for a more elegant presentation).
  • Spread half of the mascarpone mixture evenly over the layer of biscuits.
  • Add a layer of the macerated strawberries on top of the mascarpone mixture.
  • Repeat the layers, finishing with a layer of the mascarpone mixture on top.
  • Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld and the dessert to set.
  • Before serving, decorate with fresh mint leaves and a few additional strawberry slices for garnish.
